113 million watch Super Bowl LVII

Fox desired a record audience. Desire in one hand, and you already know the rest.

Super Bowl LVII final number landed on 113 million. This makes it the third most watched TV show ever and the most watched Super Bowl since Super Bowl LI in 2017.

The all-time record is still held by Super Bowl XLIX, which averaged 114.5 million viewers on NBC in early 2015.

Fox hoped a close game would push the Chiefs Eagles to victory. And it was a really convincing and competitive final. The Chiefs’ sluggish first half may have given some people distraction until the Chiefs woke up after halftime.

Regardless of what everyone else was doing? More than 330 million people live in the country. Seriously, what else could be more interesting than the Super Bowl?
