2023 UFC event schedule: Leon Edwards vs. Kamaru Usman 3, Alex Pereira vs. Israel Adesanya 2 on tap

Leon Edwards has the home advantage as he and Kamaru Usman wrap up their trilogy at UFC 286 on Saturday. Usman heads to the O2 Arena in London, England, in pursuit of the UFC welterweight title that Edwards snatched from him in August.

Usman was 56 seconds away from equalizing Anderson Silva in the longest winning streak in UFC history before crashing head first into Edwards’ shin. It was a shocking knockout from behind that earned Best Knockout of 2022 by CBS Sports. Edwards equalized every series and returned home to defend his new crown against feverish, loyal fellow Londoners. Saturday’s co-main event includes Fight of the Night leader Justin Gaethje taking on fellow striker Rafael Fiziev.

UFC PPVs are also scheduled for April and May. On April 8, Israel Adesanya attempts to regain the middleweight title at UFC 287 from Alex Pereira, the power forward who defeated Adesanya in all three MMA and kickboxing bouts. A month later, Aljamain Sterling defends his UFC bantamweight title at UFC 288 on May 6. His opponent is Henry Cejudo, a former two-division champion who has returned after a three-year hiatus.
