2023 UFC event schedule: Leon Edwards vs. Kamaru Usman 3, Petr Yan vs. Merab Dvalishvili on tap

Petr Yan and Merab Dvalisvili could stand out in the UFC bantamweight title race with an impressive performance at UFC Fight Night. Saturday night at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, two of the best fighters in the 135-pound weight class clashed.

Jan and Dvalishvili are on the brink of a title fight, but it’s imperative that they impress in a crowded and competitive bantamweight division. After all, they have rumors of the return of two-division champion Henry Cejudo, the incredible popularity of Sean O’Malley, and constant threats from Marlon Vera and Corey Sandhagen to fight. Former champion Yan is in dire need of momentum after consecutive split decision losses to champion Aljamain Sterling and Sean O’Malley. Dvalishvili is on a monstrous eight-fight winning streak, but a supposedly boring performance against Jose Aldo pissed off UFC President Dana White.

A week later, the epic trilogy comes to a head in London when welterweight champion Leon Edwards takes on Kamaru Usman at UFC 286. Edwards brings the UFC welterweight championship home to England as Usman hits the road to reclaim what was taken from him .
