Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown turned back to the offseason that ended his tennessee tenure with the Tennessee Titans.

As the NFL Network came to town for the Eagles’ training camp, Brown was asked about a deal that saw the Titans send him to Philadelphia for a couple of draft picks, including the 18th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Brown says he’s unhappy with the way things have turned out, and in particular that he’s being blamed for the breakup.

“You know, it’s a business and I’m not upset about a deal or anything because it’s a business or something,” Brown said. Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. “But to be honest, I just didn’t understand how it all happened, and they just blamed me for it. I’m brave enough to say it, no matter how people take it.”

Brown’s comments followed the young widest reiterating that his move from Nashville was not his fault after Deebo Samuel signed a contract extension with the San Francisco 49ers.

Back in April, the 25-year-old said the Titans’ offer was too low for him and claimed it was “not even $20 million a year”, which led to a divorce.

However, multiple reports told the other side of the story, including Brown’s desire to be traded before he demands over $25 million a year and the $80 million guaranteed he received from the Eagles.

On top of that, Brown cut off communication with the team weeks before the deal collapsed and “wanted to leave.”

Despite the nasty end to his Titans career, Brown says he has no grudge against his old team, which he will face in Week 13 of the 2022 campaign.

“But I don’t have a bad relationship with Tennessee. I’m moving forward. I’m happy to be [in Philadelphia]. But [there are] a lot of things people don’t know and they just point their finger at me. But it normal.”
