ST. SIMONS Island, Georgia. Tony Finau withdrew from the RSM Classic on Tuesday, just two days after winning the Houston Open and his fifth PGA Tour title.

According to Finau’s manager, the care was “preventive maintenance for a minor (knee) injury”. The injury has left Finau uncomfortable and plans to finish the year playing in the Hero World Challenge next month.

Finau took a four-stroke win in Houston thanks to a nearly flawless no-play week and should have been the highest ranked player (No. 12) on the field at Sea Island Resort.
