State of Colorado @ Air Force
Current records: Colorado State 2-8; Air Force 7-3
What you need to know
On Saturday, the Air Force Falcons will play 60 minutes, but they are expected to be done well before then. The Falcons and Colorado State Rams will face off in the Mountain West Battle at 9:00 pm ET at Falcon Stadium. The Air Force has a defense that only allows them to score 14.4 points per game, so the Colorado State offense won’t have to work for them.
The Air Force turned the New Mexico Lobos into a running game last week and took the gold by 470 yards ahead of them, 173. The Air Force outscored the New Mexico 35-3. The match was almost over at the end of the third, by which point the Air Force had established a 28-3 lead. QB Haasik Daniels had a stellar game for the Falcons as he passed for one TD and 42 yards on two attempts in addition to rushing for two TDs and 113 yards. Daniels hit a number of highlights with a 65-yard TD in the first quarter. Daniels’ brilliant performance has made his rushing singles touchdown high this season.
The Air Force defense was also in attendance as they passed the New Mexico offensive line and sacked QB Justin Holaday five times for a total loss of 21 yards. It was a group work in which six people participated.
Meanwhile, Colorado State had a win within reach but failed to capture it last week as the team lost 14-13 to the Wyoming Cowboys. Quarterback Clay Millen had a rather forgettable game with one interception.
The Air Force won their first match against the Rams 38-21 last season, but Colorado State managed to draw the next match. Check out CBSSports.com to see if they can go further and take the win this time around.
