Charlie Strong will return to Crimson Tide in 2023. According to Sports Illustrated’s Ross Dellenger, Strong was hired as a defense analyst for Alabama.
In 2020, Strong worked as a defense analyst in Alabama. Since then, he has worked as an inside midfield coach in Jacksonville Jaguars. Most recently, he was the defensive coordinator and linebacker coach in Miami.
Interestingly, Strong, along with Kevin Steele, was the Hurricanes’ defensive coordinator. Steele will be Alabama’s defensive coordinator this season, and Strong will work under him.
Strong has experience as a defensive coordinator and is good at organizing game plans. With Austin Armstron gone, Strong could be in charge of weekly help with the game plan for Crimson Tide. Strong’s specific role has not been determined at this time.
Be that as it may, head coach Nick Saban made the wise decision to bring back an experienced assistant coach to Tuscaloosa.
Roll Tide Wire will continue to monitor the Alabama football program.
