Alex Cora and the Boston Red Sox will be rooting for the Boston Celtics to secure Game 7 against the Golden State Warriors.

Ahead of the decisive Game 6 taking place on Thursday night, Cora donned Gear C and shared a message with them as they hope to keep their hopes up for Banner 18.

“Enjoy it, dude. Enjoy it,” the Red Sox manager said. “December 31, no one thought this team would be here, right? And they give us game 6. We’ll be there, we’re going to enjoy it. At home it should be loud, it should be fun. Just push yourself to the limit. Take part in the journey, accept the game and jump tomorrow on this plane to San Francisco. Make game 7.”

Tomase: Yes, Devers does take longer to run home.

Cora led the Red Sox to a World Series title in 2018, his first season as manager. Ime Udoka is looking to become an NBA champion in his first season as head coach of the Celtics.

The St. Louis Cardinals are also in town to kick off the series at Fenway Park on Friday. They will join Cora and the Red Sox in a packed TD Garden for Game 6.

“There are a lot of people coming,” Cora said. “The Cardinals too. I heard Machine (Albert Pujols) got a number for his team too, so it should be fun.”

The Celtics-Warriors Game 6 is scheduled to kick off at 9:00 pm ET.
