“Khabib now weighs 200 pounds,” said Abdelaziz. sherdog. “If Khabib comes tomorrow and cuts down to 185 pounds, he will stop Israel Adesanya in three rounds. I see it. He’s beating heavyweights, light heavyweights, light heavyweights, lightweights – now he’s unstoppable. It’s like a tractor trailer.

“But the styles – if Khabib wants to come back and talk to Dana White and say, ‘Let me fight middleweight,’ he will finish Israel in three rounds because of the fighting style. Israel cannot stop its fight. He can’t stop his fight. But the striker, of course, Israel is the best striker on this planet.”

Nurmagomedov insists he stopped fighting after making a promise to his mother, but Abdelaziz suspects the fire of rivalry still burns within him.

“He can come back, fight at middleweight and become a champion today,” added Abdelaziz. “He is always in good shape, he is always in a good mood, and you never know for sure. To be honest, he said, “I’m never going to fight again.” But sometimes I think he wants it.

“Because I said, ‘Hey, why do you mess around with guys so much?’ He said, “Oh, I have to show them who’s boss.” But you never really know what’s going on. Maybe we’re doing The Ultimate Fighter with Tony Ferguson and they’re crazy about each other and at the end of the season they’re fighting. You will never know.”
