MELBOURNE, Australia – Three-time world champion Andy MurrayA grueling run at the Australian Open ended in the third round after losing to Roberto Bautista Agut.
Murray, 35, has won two marathons just to get to this point at Melbourne Park, where he is a five-time finalist.
This match lasted about 3.5 hours and Bautista Agut won 6-1, 6-7 (7), 6-3, 6-4 at the Margaret Court Arena on Saturday night.
Thus, Murray’s total time on the court this week exceeded 14 hours. He won five sets in the first round and another in the second round, which ended just after 4am.
