Tennessee dropped four spots from No. 5 to No. 9 after losing 63–38 in South Carolina on Saturday.

The nine touchdowns that South Carolina scored on the Volunteers allowed the unranked team to score the most points against the top five opponents in college football history. However, the Gamecocks surprisingly didn’t make it into the top 25 after winning. They are ranked second among non-top 25 teams.

The top four were Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan and TCU, in that order. The last two teams needed late field goals to take the win on Saturday. Michigan beat Illinois 19-17 at home and TCU beat Baylor 29-28 on the road. The Wolverines and Buckeye meet in their annual rivalry game in Week 13.
