Stockrisers.com’s Jake Weingarten reported on Wednesday that 2024 small forward Dallas Thomas has been hearing from many schools. One school that has kept in touch with the Arkansas native is the Auburn Tigers.
According to the 247Sports recruiting rating, Thomas received four stars. It is listed at 6ft 7in and 170 lbs. The Little Rock, Arkansas native has a total of nine proposals. Other programs that have been offered to Thomas so far: Arkansas, Texas A&M, Houston, Illinois, Missouri, St. John’s, Tulsa and TCU. Several other schools such as LSUBYU and Memphis reached out to us.
Since Thomas is an Arkansas native, he will certainly have a hard time outplaying the Razorbacks. However, if anyone can do it, it should be Bruce Pearl. This won’t be the first time he’s traveled to Little Rock to find a promising recruit. In 2019, he was able to sign Little Rock native Allen Flanigan.
The Tigers are trying to build something special in the Plains. They just got out of the NCAA Tournament and also won the SEC title. If the coaching staff finds a way to land Thomas, it will be a great sign for the future. We’ll have to wait and see how his recruitment goes.
All basketball players from Auburn are selected in the first round of the NBA draft.
