Rob McClanagan, one of the biggest names in NBA training circles, was reportedly arrested Friday and charged with rape. McClanagan was reportedly arrested. in East Greenwich, Rhode Island, reports wcvb.com.

McClanagan, 43, is accused of drugging and raping a woman in downtown Boston. Boston police investigated and issued an arrest warrant for McClanagan on Thursday. McClanagan, who lives in Warwick, Rhode Island, was arrested the next day. He is reportedly due to appear in court in Rhode Island on Monday, wcvb.com reports.

McClanagan has worked with a number of NBA stars, according to his website. Among his biggest clients, he lists Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James and Golden State Warriors MVP Stephen Curry. McClanagan also names Kevin Durant, Derrick Rose and Russell Westbrook as clients. Curry wrote the foreword for McClanagan’s 2020 book Networking.

The Boston Celtics released a statement to wcvb.com saying that McClanagan is not affiliated with the team. McClanagan reportedly worked with acting Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla at Bishop Hendricken High School.
