Bills says co-owner Kim Pegula is making progress as she continues to recover from an unspecified health issue.
“Kim is doing well, resting and recovering from health issues,” Bills said in a statement. “We are grateful to the medical workers assisting her and to everyone for their prayers and good wishes. We ask that you continue to respect our need for privacy during this time.”
Two weeks ago, The Bills announced that Pegula was undergoing treatment for “unexpected health issues” but otherwise remained silent and stressed that Pegula’s family would like privacy. However, rumors circulated on social media that Pegula’s condition had worsened, and this likely led the bills to decide to make another announcement today.
Pegula and her husband, Terry Pegula, own the Bills, NHL Buffalo Sabers, and other sports and entertainment venues in upstate New York. Kim Pegula has been heavily involved in recent negotiations that resulted in a deal to build a new stadium in Orchard Park, New York that will house the bills.
