During his media appearance on Thursday, Cooks admitted his disappointment that he was not traded before the deadline.

The Texans have been in trade talks with several teams, including the Cowboys, but his $18 million guarantee for 2023 proved to be a stumbling block.

Cooks has 32 receptions for 354 yards and a touchdown in seven games, with no 100-yard games this season.

Texans ruled out linebacker Neville Hewitt (hamstring). They list a quarterback Malik Collins (chest), receiver Nico Collins (groin) and linebacker Jalen Reeves-Mabin (groin) like questionable.

Reeves-Mabin had a full workout on Friday, while Collins and Collins had a limited workout.

On the way back Dameon Pierce (chest/shoulder) is back to full engagement and ready to go.
