The McDonald’s All-American Game is the most prestigious basketball award for all high school students, and the 2023 game will feature two legacy kids: Bronnie James and DJ Wagner. LeBron James was in the game in 2003, and his son Bronnie was one of 24 players announced Tuesday for this year’s participation.
Wagner, a five-star player from Kentucky, is the third generation in his family to play the game. His father, Dajuan, played the game in 2001 and his grandfather, Milt, played the game in 1981. DJ, Dajuan and Milt are the first trio in three generations to compete in the McDonald’s All-American Game.
Kentucky has the most dedicated players out of 24 places on the roster, with four players. Wagner, center Aaron Bradshawwing Justin Edwards and guard Reed Sheppard everyone will play the game.
Duke goes directly behind three players in the game: forward Mackenzie Conferenceforward Sean Stewart and guard Jared McCain.
Michigan State (center Xavier Bookerguard Jeremy Fierce) and Oregon (wing KJ Evans and go Muki Cook) each of them features two players, and there are two players who have not decided on a college program. small forward Matas Buzelis they are Kentucky, North Carolina, Florida, Wake Forest and the G-League Ignite NBA. Bronnie is another player who is still out of action and has been known to include USC, Oregon, Ohio State and Michigan.
The 2023 McDonald’s All-American Game will be held in Houston. The girls’ game will air at 6:30 pm ET on March 28 on ESPN2, followed by the boys’ game immediately after that at 9:00 pm ET on ESPN.
