Brooks Koepka has joined Bryson DeChambeau, Patrick Reid, Dustin Johnson and Phil Mickelson in the LIV Golf league, according to multiple sources.
The four-time major champion is arguably the most famous player to join the Saudi-backed league and is giving the LIV even more momentum even as the PGA Tour tries to rally troops at the Travelers Championship this week. There will be a players-only meeting on Tuesday, and Jay Monahan is expected to speak on Wednesday.
According to one reportKoepka also received a seven-figure deal that Mickelson, DeChambeau and Johnson were rumored to have received.
Last week at the US Open, Kopka was unhappy about being asked questions about LIV.
“I’m here. I’m here at the US Open. I’m ready to play in the US Open and I think that sucks too, you all throw that black cloud at the US Open. favorite events I don’t know why you guys keep doing this.
“The more you give him legs, the more you keep talking about it.”
