Bruins celebrate Pride Month with second Boston Pride hockey showdown originally appeared on NBC Sports Boston

The Boston Bruins have announced that they will face Boston Pride Hockey (BPH). The showdown will take place at the Warrior Ice Arena on Thursday, June 23rd at 7pm ET, followed by a reception honoring BPH and LGBTQ+ players.

Tuukka Rask, retired Bruins goaltender and current Bruins team ambassador. Former Bruins goaltender and NESN analyst Andrew Raycroft will also take part in the bout. Collin Coyne, President of the Premier Hockey League (PHF) Boston Pride and Olympian, will join the two former Bruins along with members of the Boston Pride team in the scramble.

Boston Pride Hockey is a non-profit LGBTQ+ hockey organization based in New England dedicated to providing a safe and inclusive environment for LGBTQ+ players and their allies to learn, have fun and play hockey. Founded in 1989, BPH has grown from a small group of players to a community of over 100 active members who participate in a wide range of programs including international tournaments, masterclasses, youth hockey initiatives and an inclusive hockey league.
