Buck Showalter is in the top three finalists for National League Manager of the Year after the 66-year-old skipper took the helm in his first season Metz.

Atlanta Braves Brian Snitker and Los Angeles Dodgers Dave Roberts the rest are up for the award, which will be announced next Tuesday at 18:00.

Baseball Writers Association of America (BBWAA) voters filed ballots prior to the start of the postseason.

The Mets made the playoffs but lost to the San Diego Padres by a score of three in the NL Wild Card Series.

Showalter’s Mets went 101-61 in the 2022 regular season. The 101 wins is only second to the 1986 team’s 108 wins in a single-season franchise record.

New York tied with the Braves for first place in the NL East, but Atlanta won the division by a head-to-head tiebreak.
