In what was almost certainly his last game with the Washington Commanders, Carson Wentz offered a stylish gesture to the quarterback, who was making his first start for the commanders.
Rookie Quarterback Commanders Sam Howelldebuting in Sunday’s victory over the Cowboys, revealed that Wentz has a “Commanders” home game kit that he provided to Howell’s family and friends so they can attend the game for free and see him start in the NFL for the first time.
“I had many relatives in the city, and Carson, that says what kind of guy he is.he gave me his playset,” Howell said via USA Today. “I know a lot of people have spoken negatively about Carson, but he is just an incredible person. He’s just amazing to be around. That he gave me his number for my first start means a lot.”
It was Wentz’s generous offer, and the reason he will still have fans in the Commanders dressing room, even though his season has been a disappointing one for Commanders fans.
