When transferring one underrated player on each AFC teamJeff Kerr of CBS Sports named Baltimore’s biggest star as his pick for the Ravens in quarterback Lamar Jackson. Kerr spoke about the many accomplishments the quarterback has achieved in such a short amount of time, asking what the former Louisville star has to do to earn his respect.

“What does Lamar Jackson have to do to earn the respect he deserves? Since Jackson became the Ravens’ starter in week 11 of the 2018 season, Baltimore has been 37-12 with a .755 winning percentage. He is the first quarterback in league history to have 35 career wins under the age of 25 and already ranks seventh among NFL quarterbacks in yards (3,673)…yards (35 games) and his 10 rushing games per 100 yards are tied with Michael Vick for the most games in league history. He is also the only quarterback to hit 1,000 yards twice in a season. His five games with 200 passing yards and 100 rushing yards is the most in league history… When Jackson is on the field, the Ravens win. He’s very underrated in the league.”

Jackson’s success on the field is sometimes swept under the carpet because of his style of play, which is completely unreasonable considering what he did for the Ravens franchise during his first four years in the NFL. Baltimore would not be where they are today without him, and despite his accomplishments, he is still unfairly disrespected.
