Teverything came out inside out to ‘Checo’ Pérez at the Canadian Grand Prix. It was a weekend to forget after he had to abandon the race on lap nine after suffering an engine problem that prevented him from continuing on the track. “It’s the engine, something wrong with the engine”he managed to say just before having to definitively stop his car.

But the day before he had also had problems. In qualifying, he left directly against the protections in Q2when he was eighth. He caused a red flag that paralyzed the session for a few moments. Finally, he couldn’t keep his place for the next round, so he ended up leaving thirteenth on the way back from Montreal.

But the Mexican did not want to get out of the car. His intention was to return to the track to be able to continue with the test before the time ran out. When the stewards went to help him unhook the car from the protections, he started a kind of argument with them.

“You’re stuck there!”, He was pointed out by the stewards, who wanted to move the car as soon as possible to start the qualifying session again. “Move it, try to move it!”, asked still up in his Red Bull. But it was useless because it was not possible to help him in his purpose, according to DAZN.

Finally, Checo got out of the car, but did not stop his attempt to get back on the asphalt. “Dude, can you get him back on track?” he kept insisting. “He could get back on track,” he assumed with frustration. “I know Czech, I agree with you”, the commissioner tried to calm him down. But there was nothing they could do to fulfill Pérez’s wishes.
