Chiefs injury, absence updates from Day 8 of training camp

The Kansas City Chiefs had their eighth training camp session and fourth on the court Thursday at Western Missouri State University in St. Joseph, Missouri. The team returned outside for a lighter 10-10-10 workout after being indoors due to bad weather the day before.

OL Prince Tega Wanogo got his first practice during training camp on Thursday. This signals that he has been removed from the active/puppy list and is eligible to participate. CB Rashad Fenton and RT Lukas Niang are still out of practice and on the active/puppy list.

Carlos Dunlap was first seen training on Thursday. Regional rusher veteran arrived at camp on wednesday and trained on thursday as expected. He, like Orlando Brown Jr., is working on an adaptation plan. HC Chiefs Andy Reed said Wednesday that he would like to know about the buildup and reps the 33-year-old winger has received.

TE Jody Fortson is out of training due to a quadriceps injury. He has now missed four workouts. Both WR Daurice Fountain and WR Gary Jennings were out of practice due to injuries sustained on Wednesday. Chiefs public relations officials briefed several reporters who were present at practice about the injuries. Fontaine has a groin injury, possibly the same one that caused him to miss time earlier this offseason. Jennings suffered a concussion after a collision at a closed practice room on Wednesday.
