Chief of the Guard Trey Smith told 104.5 The Zone in Nashville that the football business dictates that players should do what’s best for themselves because coaches and front office executives will always do what’s best for the team.

“Yes, coaches will do what they think is best for the organization and for the team. And I can’t blame Tyreek; he gets paid,” Smith said. “I will never blame a guy for being paid, but he should do what is best for him. I’m really excited to see what he’s doing in Miami and wish him all the best.”

Smith said he would miss Hill’s impressive exploits on the driving range.

“I like looking at Tyreek. He is one of the toughest guys to watch on the field. I’ve never seen anyone move like that. The attitude, the demeanor, the swag he brings to the field, it’s fun to watch, man. It was fun to be around,” Smith said.

However, Smith added that he is confident that the Chiefs will reboot on offense and be in good shape in 2022. Smith seems to think that the deal with Hill is beneficial to both parties.
