BKFC Flyweight Champion Kristin Ferea will no longer be competing in the upcoming BKFC KnuckleMania 3 event on February 17th, but she has her next challenge scheduled.
After losing to his original opponent Usanakorn Tavilsukhannawang at the last minute, Ferea will now face former boxing champion Beck Rawlings on the upcoming BKFC card scheduled for April. The exact date and location of the card will be announced in the coming days.
BKFC officials confirmed the switch to MMA Fighting on Saturday.
Ferea has been a destructive machine in the last few fights on her way to becoming the BKFC Champion. She picked up victories over Calista Silgado, Kaley Cutler and Britannia Hart-Beltran before crushing Taylor Starling in her final appearance this August.
As for Rawlings, she will appear for the second time after re-signing with BKFC after a short stint in Bellator MMA. On her return, Rawlings lost a close decision to Hart-Beltran, her first loss in a barehanded competition after previously going 3–0 in the promotion.
Rawlings previously held the Police Gazette and World Boxing Foundation Latin America titles at BKFC before the organization introduced its own championships.
Ferea vs. Rawlings is likely to be the main event of the upcoming card in April, though full card details have yet to be determined.
