“Since I moved to Clemson, he has become a team for me,” Green told Rusty Mansell in an interview with 247Sports. “I made friends with these guys.”

Greene took his officer to Clemson on the first weekend of June.

“When I first started recruiting, my grades weren’t high enough,” Greene said. “So I respect them honestly for that. They didn’t offer me until I got grades. I went to work, they talked to me, kept up with my grades, and when I got to where I needed to be, they made me an offer. I respected it very much. When I arrived there for my official performance, I just felt that I was getting closer to this team and these coaches. For me, it’s more like a family and more like a team.”

Along with Green, he joined the recruiting ranks, finishing 4th in the national 247Sports Composite.

“He was very excited,” Greene said of Sweeney’s reaction. “He’s an excitable guy.”

Green is excited about his future as he joins other high-profile linebackers. Vic Burley, David Ojigbe as well as AJ Hoffler in the fold.

“I don’t want to give up too much, but I promise you that this 2023 DL course for Clemson will be something very special. We will have an average d-line. Very mean d-line.
