Anna Davis has decided where she wants to play golf in college.
16 year old who won the national women’s amateur tournament in Augusta in April announced Monday that she has entered the Auburn Women’s Golf Program through her Instagram account. Davis posted a photo with Tigers coach Melissa Luellen and assistant Kim Hall.
Last week, Davis’ twin brother, Billy, decided to play for Auburn’s men.
However, it remains to be seen if Davis will ever make it to Auburn. She could have turned pro before even playing for the Tigers. The early signing period for her class is the following November.
She is second among golfers in the 2024 class behind Jana Wilson and fourth among all amateurs in the American Junior Golf Association rankings. It ranks seventh in the world amateur golf rankings.
After winning the Augusta National, Davis received eliminations to compete in several professional competitions, including three majors. Her best result is T-50 at the LPGA Championship in Palos Verdes.
