Lincoln (Nebraska) Tall athlete Donald DeFrand Jr. hit the board with his first offer when Colorado saw him at camp and proposed.

The Buffaloes may be the first, but probably won’t be the last, as DeFrand Jr. is a longer 6-foot, 170-pound two-way performer with track experience. The Buffaloes have rated him as a defensive end and this is where he projects well based on his physical tools.

“Colorado was nearby and I decided I wanted to go to camp,” he explained.

He then made the most of it by impressing the defensive coach. Rod Chance.

“It was very exciting,” DeFrande said. “I had to tell all my friends and family. I felt like I did a good job at the camp.”

DeFrande is still deciding which camps he will go to next.

He is a Nebraska heir and camped with the Huskers earlier this month.
