Conor McGregor takes shots at Khabib Nurmagomedov, ‘f****** tick’ Joe Rogan in UFC 229 diatribe

Conor McGregor is still thinking about UFC 229 as he had something to take off his chest in regards to one of the biggest fights in UFC history with contender Khabib Nurmagomedov.

The event took place in October 2018 and was McGregor’s first fight in the octagon since his cross-boxing fight with Floyd Mayweather. The bout was personal to say the least, resulting in Nurmagomedov stopping McGregor with a 4th round submission and the aftermath was dire as Nurmagomedov left the cage in an attempt to take on McGregor’s training partner Dillon Danis while Nurmagomedov’s teammate Zubair Tukhugov attacked. A little over four years later, McGregor took to Twitter to recount some of the memories – first, a brutal kneeling down while he was on the ground with Nurmagomedov.

Infamous then took notice of color commentator Joe Rogan, who reacted to the knee strike and called it “illegal”.

“It was an illegal knee to the head of an opponent who was on the ground,” McGregor said sarcastically. “Shut up, Joe, you fool. What are you talking about, smash it and smash it? What was smashed was my knee in his damn eye socket, right? Fuck, “it’s a knee to a prone opponent,” call the police, damn, tick, you.

Just in case, the former two-division champion turned his attention to his longtime enemy Nurmagomedov.

McGregor was out of action after suffering a serious leg injury during his UFC 264 loss to Dustin Poirier in July 2021. return to USADA testing pool at the beginning of 2023.

“I’m ready for testing in February,” McGregor said. “I’ll pass two USADA tests and we’ll schedule a fight.”
