Now everything is more expensive, and even Mika Parsons is trying to save money. The young Cowboys linebacker took to social media to discuss a recent price hike at his barbershop that could lead to a new haircut for Parsons because he’s ‘cheap as hell’.
“My hairdresser raised the price for a house call to 200!!! Now I can grow an afro!” Parsons said.

The 2021 Defensive Rookie of the Year later explained that he was not trying to ruin anyone’s business or trying to disrespect the hairdressers. However, he noted that he is not a model and his appearance on the pitch is of little importance because he wears a helmet during games.
“No one at home wonders what I look like under my helmet!!” He wrote. “And also the value of growing up with 10/20 haircuts! I come from nothing! I still appreciate what it took me to get here! the real one in me!”
It’s not just about hairstyles. Parsons said he thinks about the price of everything, even if it’s just a drink at a restaurant. Parsons was selected 12th overall in the 2021 NFL Draft and although he is currently four-year contract worth $17,079,793 with the Cowboys, he doesn’t want to spend money unnecessarily.
“Dude, I don’t even order a $6 cola at a restaurant!! Ask any of my closest friends!! I’ve always been cheap as hell!!” he said. “It’s not about money at all and never will be. I’ve always been on principle!! If you didn’t appreciate something when you didn’t have it then? Then why now?!”
He is no higher sending expensive drinks, and it turns out he’s not alone in his money-saving habits. Former NFL quarterback Dan Orlovsky agreed with him on social media.
“I feel noticed” Orlovsky wrote.
