News: Commanders RB Brian Robinson finished with 60 yards and a touchdown on 17 tries.

What does fantasy mean? Robinson was named starter on Thursday afternoon. He played 47% of offensive snaps and Antonio Gibson 28%. Despite the surge leading up to the Thursday night game, Robinson is still available in 52.3% of Sportzshala leagues. This speech makes me think I’ll write about Robinson again for the waiver cable next week.

News: Pro Football Network’s Aaron Wilson revealed that RB Cardinals James Conner is expected to miss Sunday’s game against the Seahawks with a rib injury.

What does fantasy mean? According to Wilson, Conner could also miss extra time. Darrell Williams, the Cardinals’ backup running back, is expected to miss the game with a knee injury, while Jonathan Ward, who has injured a hamstring, has been placed on injured reserve by the Arizona Cardinals. Eno Benjamin is expected to fill the void left by Conner. He had 53 yards and a touchdown in 11 against the Eagles last week. The Seahawks defensemen were passing 170.2 yards per game.

News: Dolphins RB Rahim Mostert returned to training on Thursday.

What does fantasy mean? Mostert has a knee injury but has mentioned to the media that he is playing on Sunday. Mostert had 36 touchdowns in the past two weeks, including 24-yard and 25-yard breakaway runs. Mostert’s tackle-breaking ability is unmatched in the Dolphins’ backfield. He is firmly on the RB2 radar against the Vikings.

News: WR Saints Michael Thomas and Jarvis Landry didn’t train on Thursday.

What does fantasy mean? Thomas has a foot injury and Landry has an ankle injury. Both players missed the Week 5 game against the Seahawks and both are on the same path to Week 6. QB Jameis Winston returned to the field on Wednesday, but his number is limited. Back and ankle injuries kept the quarterback out of the last two games. WR Chris Olav also attended Thursday’s media portion of the practice. Wide receiver appears to be on track to clear the league’s concussion protocol. Olaf can be seen as a WR2 against the Seahawks, averaging 9.7 goals over his last four games.

News: Ravens WR Rashod Bateman was still out of practice on Thursday.

What does fantasy mean? Bateman is recovering from a leg injury. After suffering a foot injury in the middle of a Buffalo Bills game in Week 4, he missed Sunday’s game against the Bengals. Since then, Bateman has not trained. It was a great WR performance by Devin DuVernay and others against Cincinnati, but the Ravens are hoping Bateman will return soon as they lack depth on a wide receiver. If Bateman is out, DuVernay, who has seen seven goals against the Bengals, should be on the flexible radar in the deeper leagues.

News: Chargers WR Keenan Allen was limited in practice on Thursday.

What does fantasy mean? Allen has not trained or played since the first week due to a hamstring injury. This is an encouraging sign. Because the Chargers won’t play the Broncos until Monday night, they didn’t have to release an injury report until Thursday. According to our drafting trends, Allen was WR12 this summer. Between 2017 and 2021, he averaged 16.7 fantasy points per game. Allen has missed more games in 2022 than from 2017 to 2021 combined.

News: Cowboys QB Dak Prescott had a limited workout on Thursday.

What does fantasy mean? Prescott was training for the first time since he suffered a thumb injury in the first week. After passing to receivers on Wednesday, the news came a day later. Cooper Rush, 4-0 down for Prescott, is likely to start against the Eagles on Sunday night, but Prescott is now one step closer to making a comeback and significantly raising the Dallas receivers’ fantasy ceilings. Take Michael Gallup; it is still available in 48.7% of Sportzshala leagues.

News: Giants WR Wan’Dale Robinson were limited to practice on Thursday.

What does fantasy mean? Robinson has yet to be fully involved in the Giants offense following an MCL sprain in Week 1. The Giants currently have Darius Slayton, Richie James, David Sills and Marcus Johnson as their top receivers, so Robinson’s return will be huge for the New York offense . . With his agility and ability to create yards after a catch, Robinson was perfect for Jones’ short to medium shots. He could see a lot of targets against the Ravens if he was healthy. It is still available in 94% of the leagues.

Let’s go deeper: The Giants could use Robinson’s versatility both on vertical routes and in on-screen play. During his college career in Kentucky, he rushed 141 times for 691 yards and had 185 passes for 2,248 yards.
