News: Colts RB Jonathan Taylor suffered a high ankle sprain after losing to the Titans.

What does fantasy mean? Taylor may not be able to join the team against the Broncos on Thursday night due to a quick turnaround. According to coach Frank Reich, Taylor will have to undergo additional examinations to determine the severity of the injury. It’s unclear if Taylor will miss the Denver game. Taylor’s absence will be filled by Nyheim Hines and Deon Jackson.

Let’s go deeper: Since 2020, Taylor has averaged 20.3 touches per game.

News: Saints RB Alvin Camara missed Sunday’s game against the Vikings with a rib injury.

What does fantasy mean? Kamara has either been restricted or has not trained in each of the past three weeks due to this rib injury. Latavius Murray was activated on Saturday from the Saints’ training squad. He and Mark Ingram II formed a committee of Saints runners. Ingram missed part of the second half and spent time in the injury tent, but he came back to force Murray to split the carry evenly with him. The Saints seem to be hesitant to completely hand over the backfield to Ingram, so barring an injury, he will remain a fantastic RB3 until Kamara returns.

News: Broncos RB Javonte Williams suffered a serious knee injury against the Raiders.

What does fantasy mean? After spending time in the medical tent, Williams made his way to the dressing room and was ruled out of the game. Broncos coach Nathaniel Hackett said he did not have an update on Williams’ status after the game. The sophomore runner will have an MRI on Monday. There is a possibility that Williams will miss most of the season. Both Melvin Gordon and Mike Boone will have increased mileage if Williams misses significant time, and fantasy managers should plan for alternatives.

News: Chargers QB Justin Herbert completed 27 passes on 39 attempts for 340 yards and two touchdowns against the Texans.

What does fantasy mean? Herbert looks completely healthy after a rib injury over the past two weeks. His 19th 300-yard passing game was the most for such a game in a player’s first three seasons. It was Herbert’s seventh consecutive 300+ yard road game. Herbert should remain a reliable QB1 against the Browns even if Miles Garrett and Jadevon Clooney come back healthy.

News: Falcons TE Kyle Pitts had one reception and 25 yards.

What does fantasy mean? Pitts has been a disappointing player for fantasy managers, especially since he was TE3 in our drafts this summer. Coaches were at ease last week against the Seahawks when Pitts caught five of his eight targets for 87 receiving yards, compared to just 10 targets, four receptions and 38 yards in weeks one and two. But against the Browns on Sunday, Pitts was only targeted four times. Parker Hesse played more snaps than the Pitts against Cleveland and ran the same number of routes. It’s really shocking that Pitts isn’t the center of the Falcons’ passing game, considering the team drafted him ahead of Ja’Marr Chase in the 2021 draft. The problem with Pitts is that he’s hard to sell and he’s not someone you would dump. Streaming tight ends is an alternative until he gets things right.

News: Packers WR Allen Lazard caught six of eight targets for 116 yards against the Patriots.

What does fantasy mean? Lazar managed the Packers at receptions and receiving yards. In doing so, he set season records for targets, receiving and receiving yards. As top wide receiver Aaron Rodgers, Lazard’s value continues to rise and he should be considered the top flex in Week 5 against the Giants in London.

News: RB Panthers Christian McCaffrey finished with a combined 108 yards on 17 touches against the Cardinals.

What does fantasy mean? McCaffrey passed the 100-yard mark in three consecutive games. Despite quad and hip injuries in his last three games, he averaged 21 touches per game. McCaffrey’s value is at its peak right now, so trading for him maximizes his value. Offensive, the Panthers are painful, last in the league with 262.3 yards per game.

News: Vikings RB Dalvin Cook finished with 86 yards on 22 touches against the Saints.

What does fantasy mean? Cooke was the focus of Minnesota’s offensive against New Orleans on Sunday after a shoulder injury kept him out of practice earlier in the week. However, Cook played fewer snaps than usual: 45 to 27 for Alexander Mattison. Check out this week’s injury report to see if Cook is on the list and restricted from training. When I watched the game, it seemed that the problem with his shoulder did not bother him. Cooke can be seen as RB1 against the Bears in week five. Fantasy managers should put Mattison on the contingency roster as he is still available in 52.2% of Sportzshala leagues. You don’t have to be Cook’s manager to take advantage of Mattison if asked to do more.

News: Jets RB Brees Hall finished with a total of 78 yards on 19 touches against the Steelers.

What does fantasy mean? Hall appears to be leading the Jets, with Michael Carter only getting 11 touches. Hall played a season-high 67% of the Jets’ snaps, according to Next Gen Stats. With Zach Wilson back at center, the Jets relied heavily on running play and Hall saw the Jets rush 58.8% in Week 4 compared to 40.0% in Week 3 against the Bengals. . This is great for Hall’s fantasy value moving forward, as he exhibits all the traits that have made him one of the NFL’s best running back draft picks: very good balance, patience behind his blockers, and recognizing lane development before it happens. Hall is firmly on the radar as RB2 with RB1 advantage when the Dolphins arrive in the Meadowlands in Week 5.

News: Buccaneers WR Mike Evans caught eight of 10 targets for 103 yards and two touchdowns against the Chiefs.

What does fantasy mean? Evans returned to offense with the Buccaneers after being suspended in Week 3 and made an immediate impact, becoming the franchise’s all-time rushing yard leader after scrimmaging with 9,546 yards, breaking the record set by former back running back James Wilder over two decades ago. In addition, Evans holds the Buccaneers franchise records for touchdowns and yards. He also hopes to extend his NFL record for eight straight seasons by at least 1,000 receiving yards. Despite the return of Chris Godwin, Evans can be considered a weekly budget WR1. So far this season, he has averaged seven goals and 19.2 fantasy points.

News: Giants WR Kenny Golladay suffered a knee injury in the third quarter against the Bears and did not return.

What does fantasy mean? Holladay has just 543 receiving yards for the Giants after signing a four-year, $72 million free agent deal back in 2021. He hasn’t scored a receiving touchdown yet. Sterling Shepard also tore his cruciate ligament last week, ending the season. Both Kadarius Tony and Van’Dale Robinson were out against the Bears due to injuries. Darius Slayton replaced Golladey after an injury. He will likely remain in the starting lineup unless the Giants get healthier at wide receiver. New York is in 28th place with 27 pass attempts per game. It’s unlikely that the Giants can support more than one fantasy wide receiver. Who will fill the void is still unknown.

News: Titans WR Trailon Burks was taken off the field with a foot injury against the Colts.

What does fantasy mean? Burks had a rocky start to his pro career, catching just 10 passes for 129 yards in four games, including two of three 14-yard goals against the Colts in Week 4. The 18th overall pick of the 2022 draft was seen leaving the Titans’ locker room on crutches. Tennessee is in 30th place with 26.3 pass attempts per game. The absence of Burks will boost the role of Robert Woods, who is still available in 34.6% of the leagues. Over the past two games, Woods has thrown 8 shots for 115 yards and a touchdown.
