DALLAS. The New York Giants edged out the Dallas Cowboys 10-7 early in the second quarter thanks to wide receiver Darius Slayton’s acrobatic jump tackle at AT&T Stadium.

Defenseman Daniel Jones passed 52.5 yards from the right sideline, according to NextGen Stats. Slayton jumped right over cornerback Anthony Brown in second and fourth at halfback, throwing a spectacular 44-yard catch at the Dallas 1-yard line.

Slayton’s catch was the Giants’ first 40+ yard completion this season, according to Sportzshala Stats & Information research. Their first such attempt came in the first quarter, when Jones and Slayton failed to convert a similar play on the right touchline. Last week, the Cowboys missed a 20-yard pass in a 40-3 win over the Minnesota Vikings.
