Matheus Mendonka started the DWCS Season 6 Finals with an amazing start by knocking out Ashik Ajim in 48 seconds.
Ajim’s head bounced off the canvas after he landed a straight right to the back of the head and then received a sweep with a left hook. By the time referee Mark Smith intervened, Medonca had already landed an unnecessary hammerfist on the jaw of his unconscious opponent.
It was the 10th fastest knockout in Contender Series history, as announced by the broadcasters immediately after the finish line, as can be seen above.
Other angles of the knockout can be seen below.

Mendonca paid tribute to his Chute Boxe gym and his champion Charles Oliveira by extending his unbeaten streak to nine professional fights. Ajim saw his three-fight winning streak snapped.
Mendonca is almost certain he will get a UFC contract for his work in the Contender Series season 6 finale, which took place on Tuesday at UFC APEX in Las Vegas.
