Eagles WR A.J. Brown ‘didn’t appreciate’ how trade went down, but has ‘no bad blood’ with Titans

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown doesn’t shy away from discussing how the end of his time in Tennessee went.

The Pro Bowl wide receiver was traded from the Titans to the Eagles during the 2022 NFL Draft and immediately signed a four-year, $100 million extension in Philadelphia. The Titans used the first round pick from Brown’s trade to draft Trailon Burks.

Brown made the announcement Thursday on the NFL Network. Inside training camp live that now he wants to focus on moving forward with the Eagles.

“You know, it’s a business and I’m not upset about the trade or whatever because it’s a business or whatever,” Brown told NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero. “But to be honest, I just didn’t understand how it all happened, and they just blamed me for it. I’m brave enough to say it, no matter how people take it. Tennessee. I’m moving forward. I’m happy to be here. But (there are) a lot of things that people don’t know about and they just point the finger at me. But it normal”.

Brown disagrees with how he was characterized in Nashville during contract negotiations and after the deal. After Deebo Samuel recently joined Brown, Terry McLaurin and D.C. Metcalf as Year 4 pros to close long-term deals, Brown tweeted:
