Phoenix Mercury @ Chicago Sky
13:00, Wintrust Arena, Chicago

Line: Sky (-9.0)
Money line: Sky (-480), Mercury (+360)
More less: 169.5 points

Eric Moody: While the Mercury have been playing better lately, Phoenix’s defense remains a challenge. This match could be successful. Totals have been overdrawn in six of Sky’s last nine home games. I recommend betting on the over.

Best bet: Over 169.5

UFC 276: Alexander Volkanovski vs. Max Holloway III
11:30 p.m., T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, Sportzshala+

Ian Parker: Max Holloway’s last six fights have gone the distance, and he lost his first two fights to Alexander Volkanovski by decision. Holloway has great cardio and what he considers to be the best boxing in the UFC. I expect him to follow Volkanovski’s calves and use his boxing to keep the champ at bay. Volkanovski has won four of his last five fights by decision with two wins over Holloway. Because of the unpredictable odds and the fact that both fights were very close, especially the second one, I believe this fight will go the distance again. However, there are three ways to play this co-main event. Both fighters get plus money for the win, so if the fight goes to the final call, you can bet the same amount of money on both to win by decision and guarantee a profit.

Choice: Fight at a distance (-225), Holloway by decision (+230) or Volkanovski by decision (+110)

sunday schedule

Wimbledon third round
6:25 am, All England Club, Wimbledon, England, Sportzshala

Male favorites: Novak Djokovic (-190), Rafael Nadal (+450), Carlos Alcaraz (+800), Nick Kyrgios (+1400), Stefanos Tsitsipas (+1400), Taylor Fritz (+3500)
Women’s favorites: Iga Swiatek (+175), Ons Zhaber (+330), Elena Ostapenko (+750), Coco Gauff (+900), Simona Halep (+900), Petra Kvitova (+1200)

Choice: TBD

Formula 1: British Grand Prix
10:00 Silverstone Circuit, England, Sportzshala

Race favorites: Max Verstappen (+125), Charles Leclerc (+220), Lewis Hamilton (+650), Carlos Sainz (+800), George Russell (+1200)

Play: Selection of Formula 1 races

Mike Clay: The British Grand Prix promises to be one of the busiest races of the season. Lewis Hamilton (+650), having won seven of the last nine races at the circuit, is the fastest all season, as evidenced by his second-place finish at the P2. Carlos Sainz (+800) was the fastest in practice and his teammate Charles Leclerc (+220) was always a threat to win. And then there’s Verstappen (+125), who has won six of the seven races he’s finished this season. The reigning series champion won this race in 2020 and had decent speed in second place (fourth place). It’s far from bold, but it seems silly to pick Verstappen for a lot of money right now.

To choose: Verstappen to win (+125)

Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest
12:00 pm Coney Island, New York, Sportzshala

Favorites: Joey Chestnut (-3000), Field (+1100)
More less: 74.5 hot dogs

Jason Fitz: No one but himself will challenge Joey. He told me before the competition last year that he didn’t feel as ready as he should have, but he still set a new world record. Why? Adrenalin. He later told me that when he began to feel like he was slowing down, he was pushed by the crowd in front of him. This year, the competition has returned to its old locations at the corner of Cerf and Stillwell. I think with the return of the giant crowd, Joey absolutely feels the jolt of chaos and is making history again. I’m slamming this question.

To choose: Over 74.5
