“Year 10” is on the verge of going from being a catchy punchline often heard onBusiness with the boysa podcast into possible reality for former Tennessee Titans linebacker and social media sensation Will Compton.

Yesterday afternoon, extraordinary podcast broke the news that he has an upcoming practice session with the Atlanta Falcons scheduled today.

The veteran midfielder has been hilariously teasing this inevitable practice for weeks at the most Will Compton be possible (warning: NSFW language).

This step makes sense for a number of reasons.

First, Compton’s resume has proven to be versatile and intelligent enough to contribute wherever it’s needed, whether it’s on defense and/or special teams.

He also has relatively recent experience with current Falcons head coach Arthur Smith and current defensive coordinator Dean Peace.

The budding 10th-year student made two appearances in Tennessee, where he admittedly fell in love with both coaches. Back in 2018, Peace was the Titans’ defense coordinator, while Compton was mostly a special teams main player who occasionally contributed to defense as well.

In total, Compton accounted for 16 tackles, one defensive pass and one forced fumble in 12 games.

Smith, on the other hand, was with Compton during both terms in Tennessee. The Falcons head coach was the Titans’ coach in 2018 and was later named offensive coordinator from 2019 to 2020.

Although the former Titan never played for any of Smith’s divisions, they developed a mutual respect for each other, so much so that Smith has been on the infamous bus twice.

Year 10 seems to be moving in the right direction for the Nebraska product. However, only time will tell if this training will turn into a contract offer or not.
