Let’s do the first round without filing
If you think you’re seeing a starting pitcher of the same caliber this season, fine. Go up to him. Personally, I don’t see Kershaw’s peak starter in the pool in 2023. Also, in the current era, we can safely say that no one will give us 230-250 frames. There are at least a dozen hitters with multiple categories that I would pick before considering any of them. Corbin Burns or Gerrit Cole. Let’s remember that pitchers are saboteurs and charlatans who cannot be trusted – certainly not at the very beginning of the draft. — Andy Behrens
New shift rules will change fantasy values
It may take a few weeks, but I expect the fantasy baseball draft market in the spring of the ADP to aggressively nudge left-handers, mindful of how these swingers should benefit from the new switching rules. Of course, there are so many attempts to hit the ball in the seats in baseball – there is no defense against the ball that lands in the stands. But averages are sure to rise, and happy left-handers will make the biggest jump of all. Scott Pianovski

Making top closers a priority
Upper-tier close players will advance further in the early rounds as the developers realize how quickly the position becomes sketchy in 2023. The trend is clear more pitchers record saves, but fewer reach 20+. Once you’ve identified the closest Elite you want, don’t be afraid to pull the trigger. — Dalton Del Don
