Bam Adebayo deservedly moved up to the second round of many fantasy basketball drafts last season, turning into a pretty solid asset in points, rebounds, assists and steals while also shooting well. Fantasy managers have tough decisions to make in the first rounds of the draft, but when a big man can bring so much value in so many key categories, he’s hard to ignore.

So why is Adebayo slipping to the bottom of the third round average in Sportzshala’s draft this season? Nothing notable has changed here. Adebayo is an amazing fantasy variant that can be upgraded. He missed six weeks last season with thumb surgery, but it was unlikely to be a re-injury, and his final results saw his career best in PPR and steals, with more rebounds while maintaining consistent shooting. What’s more, the Heat didn’t make much progress in the offseason. Adebayo should be great again.
