What you need to know about Monday games

With football in the background and new NBA rotations being developed in the days following the trade deadline, we are entering an extended period of fantasy season. The deadline for trades in Sportzshala’s fantasy hoop leagues is this Friday, so you are encouraged to spend some time assessing your lineup’s statistical weaknesses and excesses before making offers.

It’s time to target some reasonably priced rising names like Colleen Sexton of the Utah Jazz (31% available in Sportzshala leagues) or his rookie teammate Walker Kessler (60% available) who ranks fifth in BPG and second in NBA in block percentage. Another interesting free agent is rookie center Mark Williams (91% available) of the Charlotte Hornets.

Sexton is part of most competitive 10-team formats, but he’s worth considering when making deals. He’s averaged 19.7 points and 9.3 combined rebounds and assists thanks to high scoring over the past three games, all of which start after Mike Conley and Malik Beasley were dealt. These young jazz players are ready to take on the Indiana Pacers, who are ranked 25th defensively in their last 10 games. With the Utah defense finishing 29th this stretch, this game has the potential to top the overall record.

It may just be a guess, but we may be seeing a significant uptick since the All-Star break from Tyrese Maxey. The experiment with him leaving the bench was not very fruitful either for the team or for him personally. As the Philadelphia 76ers take on the crumbling Houston Rockets this evening, Maxi, for just $5,200 at the DraftKings, is a strong DFS play and remains a league trade target all season long.

After this Friday’s trade deadline, it will just be a no wire and free rein as a means to improve the lineup. With so many rotations adapting to recent transactions, it’s time to capitalize on the fluidity of the fantasy market.

Fantasy streamer: De’Andre Hunter (participant in 18.5% of Sportzshala leagues) Hunter is a great streamer whenever he throws punches as his fantasy production is based mostly on points and threes. Hunter scored a fantasy 43 against the Spurs last Saturday and is well positioned to repeat that against the Hornets, who are 24th in points allowed per 100 possessions. Charlotte also allows opponents to hit 55.8% of effective field goals. — Eric Moody

Best bet: Dejonte Murray over 5.5 rebounds. Murray has always been one of the best rebounding defensemen in the league. He has averaged 6.1 RPGs over the past eight games and has scored 6 or more points in five of them. On Monday, he will face a Hornets team that has allowed 10th-most offensive rebounders and point guards, giving Murray the opportunity to thrive on glass again. — Andre Snellings

Graham scored 34 or more fantasy points in two games in a row. — Eric Moody

Best bet: Jarrett Allen over 26.5 points + rebounds. This season, the Spurs lost to centers second in points per game and ninth in rebounds per game. Trend: The Miami Heat is a lot of things… rushing is not one of them. They are likely to finish in the bottom five in terms of pace for the fourth season in a row, and this may be an advantage for them in many places, but not in this one. The Denver Nuggets are 6-1 on points in their last seven games against bottom 10 teams, and the only cover failure came in Philadelphia, which they closed with five minutes left (47 points and 18 rebounds from Joel Embiid could be lost) ). difficult to overcome, as well as shooting 18 out of 35 out of 3). The Heat have gone 3-8 in their last 11 games and that fight could very well continue tonight. – Kyle Soppe
