If you’ve been lucky enough to come out of receiver with early fantasy football picks, chances are you’re thrilled with your earnings. Justin Jefferson, Tyreke Hill, Stephon Diggs and Cooper Kupp have each played five games for 100 yards this season and have weekly automatic starts on the fantasy football rosters. However, if you’ve waited a bit later in the draft to consider the position, chances are you’ll run into some tough spots filling your fantasy football rankings. Where should Hill, Diggs, Kupp, Jefferson and any other wide receiver be in your WR fantasy football rankings in week 10? When it comes to player rankings, the SportsLine model has outperformed the human experts in fantasy football over the past few seasons, especially when there have been big ranking differences. Over the course of a season, that can literally be the difference between winning the league or going home empty-handed.
Last week, the model praised Jaguar running back Travis Etienne very highly, saying he would finish in the top 10 at his position. Result: Etienne threw 28 carries for 109 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday’s victory over the Raiders. Everyone with him on the lineup was on their way to a huge week.
Now, a model that mimics every NFL game 10,000 times has revealed its fantasy football rankings for Week 10 of the 2022 NFL season. Head to SportsLine now to see them.
10 Best Fantasy Football Picks of the Week
One player the model is appreciating this week: Cowboys running back Tony Pollard. Dallas is leaving for a farewell week, and the last time we saw them, the Cowboys had a 49-point win over the Bears. Pollard carried the ball 14 times for 131 yards and scored a touchdown in that game and continues to be one of the most dynamic defensive tackles in the league.
He averaged 6.2 carrying yards and 10.1 receiving yards and ends a season in which he has rushed over 1,000 yards on the rally. Ezekiel Elliott missed the Week 8 event with a knee injury and looks set to play this week, but Pollard did more than enough to earn double-digit touchdowns in the bonus match. The Packers are ranked 26th over run and the model rates Pollard as her RB10 in week 10. See who else to target here.
And a big shock: Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert, who has thrown for 2,254 yards and 13 touchdowns this season, stumbles badly and doesn’t even hit the top 10 in his position.
Herbert’s 2,254 passing yards rank fifth in the league, but he hasn’t thrown more than one touchdown in three of his last four games. Also on Sunday, Herbert and the Chargers will take on the San Francisco 49ers, a defense that’s lost just 285.9 yards per game this season, which ranks first in the NFL. With such a tough matchup on Sunday, Herbert might consider leaving him on the bench in Week 10. Look who else will disappear here.
