Fantasy Football: Sit/Start advice for Week 13 of the NFL season

Fantasy football sit and start advice should always be relative and league specific. Please note that some players are targeting DFS. Good luck with your lineups in week 13!

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Atlanta Falcons

Start: George Pickens

Seated: Marcus Mariota

Pickens directed a similar fantasy production. to Dionte Johnson despite seeing 30+ fewer targets (and being a rookie). He’ll have an indoor game this week against the Atlanta defense, still with just four quick QBs of the season, while also allowing wide receivers to have fantastic third-most points.

Jaylen Warren will enter the top 20 RB if Naji Harris miss this match.

Drake London hasn’t reached 50 receiving yards since week 3, while Olamide Zacchaeus last week became the first pass catcher in Atlanta to rank in the top 90 receiving yards all season. Mariota has reached 200 passing yards only once since the third week. This week he plays against a Steelers defense that limits QB’s run and much better with healthy TJ Watt.

Denver Broncos @ Baltimore Ravens

Seated: All Broncos except Latavius Murray.

Fade in DFS: Lamar Jackson ($30)

Broncos Average Fewest points per game since the Browns in 2000. Russell Wilson was QB33 in fantasy last week. Murray (and Courtland Sutton if needed) can start on volume, but temper expectations as Denver has the team’s lowest projected score this week (15.5 points) and that includes the Rams, who apparently missed their entire offense.

Throwing 10 touchdowns in the first three weeks of the season, Jackson hit just seven touchdowns in eight games. A hip injury thankfully didn’t stop Jackson from running, but he’s clearly not 100 percent and gets as little help from his WRs and RBs as any quarterback in the league (although he currently lacks a left tackle). Jackson’s rush always keeps his fantasy level high, but Sunday’s game script limits his ceiling just as much as the supporting cast.

Denver is the worst kind of fantasy matchup, combining the league’s worst offense with a defense that yields an NFL-low 5.4 YPA and the fewest passing touchdowns (nine). The Broncos also rank quarterbacks for the second-most fantastic points this season, including the fifth-fewest yards per game (12.2) to position.

What’s more, the Panthers had a low NFL record. 29.2 percent passing scores against Denver last week as teams just don’t have to throw against the legendary combination of Russell Wilson and Nathaniel Hackett. The total of this match is the lowest (38.5 points) of the week, and under 10-1 in Broncos games this year. Jackson disappears into DFS.

Green Bay Packers @ Chicago Bears

Start: Christian Watson, David Montgomery

Watson has the third highest number of fantasy points. among all recipients from the 9th week, a span in which he also has more touchdowns than Justin Jefferson, Tyreke Hill as well as CD Lamb this season. This type of production, given its volume, is clearly unsustainable, but the speed of the newcomer is also undeniable. Regardless of who starts in QB for Green Bay, Watson can be seen as a top 20 WR facing a Bears defense that was the worst in the NFL in the past five weeks.

Justin Fields may be less likely to run at his previously high speed after returning from a shoulder injury and Chicago also lost Darnell Mooney on the attack last week. That means Montgomery should get all the touches he can handle against the Packers’ rush defense, allowing the running backs to rank third in yards per game (127.1) and last in DVOA.

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Detroit Lions

Start: Trevor Lawrence, Jared Goff

Lawrence just November is over which included significant improvement in accuracy. Defense of Detroit, admittedly improved after switching DB trainers, but it’s still the Lions D, allowing for an NFL-record 6.5 yards per game at home this season and the most fantastic points by a quarterback by a wide margin. With possibly shabby Travis Etienne and probably need to score a lot of points in tempo gameLawrence is a strong DFS play and is in the top 5 QBs this week.

Goff has averaged more touchdowns at home this season (2.5) than any other unnamed quarterback in the league. Patrick Mahomes (average 2.6 per year). The Lions have averaged the third-highest points per game (30.5) at home this season, behind only the Bills and Bengals. Detroit ranks fourth in total teams and has Jacksonville’s shaky defense, allowing them the second-most yards per game in the past three weeks in an indoor home game. Goff should be considered the top 10 fantasy QB this week, with his WR also better than ever this season.

Cleveland Browns @ Houston Texans

DFS Starts: Nick Chubb ($34), Dameon Pierce ($19)

Chubb hasn’t faced a top 15 defense since week five, but still remains very productive. His schedule gets a lot easier on Sunday when the Browns get Texans protection, allowing the running backs to score the most fantastic points this season. Houston allowed five different RBs to run for over 140 yards, as the game scenario is usually also favorable to opponents. It remains to be seen how the return Deshawn Watson has an impact on offense, but it’s safe to expect an intense approach on Sunday as the Browns’ favorites in touchdowns and their QB make their first start since 2020.

This week, Cleveland has one of the team’s highest totals (27.3 points). Chubb is getting 5.3 YPC on the road this season compared to 2.8 YPC this season. Karim Hunt. Chubb will be a powerful building block of DFS this week.

Pierce will most likely not become a popular DFS game after failing to reach 10 rushing yards in consecutive games and with Texans touchdown underdogs, but he’s a tricky tournament player. He was held back by poor offense and game scripts, but Pierce reassuringly repeated his season high by scoring six goals during the game. Kyle Allenthe first game to start in QB last week (and Rex Burkhead a concussion report was filed). Houston’s recent tough schedule against runners is also getting much friendlier on Sunday as the Browns have lost the most EPA/rush, second in fantasy points to running backs and third in scoring (16) this year. Expect Pierce to bounce back – and possibly to a large extent – this week.

New York Jets @ Minnesota Vikings

Start: Mike White, TJ Hockenson

White benefited from facing a shaky Chicago defense last week but is still impressed with a good performance in the rain. Magic Mike reportedly stood out in practice throughout the yearand he can quit really special receiver for beginners. The Jets receive the Minnesota defense this week, giving an NFL record 7.8 YPA this season, including the most yards per game (6.9) in the last three weeks. Start White.

Hockenson became a target for top 12 TEs in all four games since he was traded to Minnesota. On Sunday, he should see double-digit games against a Jets defense that shuts down wide receivers as often as any other team in the league right now.

Washington Commanders @ New York Giants

Start: Terry McLaurin

Seated: all giants except Saquon Barkley

McLaurin has a limited fantasy ceiling thanks to a Washington-based team with a strong defense but passing offense that missed 30 shots in a game last month. But Scary Terry has a strong target %s Taylor Heinicke and should benefit from Adori Jacksonabsence this week. Maclaurin’s role could also easily rise on Sunday if Antonio Gibson sits. The Giants are 28th in pass defense in the DVOA.

Washington comes out with the fourth-best DVOA defense and league pressure ratio. Daniel Jones often underestimated in fantasy, but Washington also slowed down the QB and New York’s pass catchers became the bottom three in football (especially with the sick Darius Slayton). Barkley’s recent and upcoming schedule is as busy as it gets (@Dal, Was, Phi, @Was).

Tennessee Titans @ Philadelphia Eagles

Start: Trailon Burks, DeVonta Smith

Derrick Henry averaging 2.8 YPC over the past three weeks and gaining newly added protection from the Eagles run Ndamukong Su as well as Linval Joseph as well as may return Jordans Davis. Faced with a powerful Eagles offense, the Titans will be passing more than usual this week. Berks increases game time and rewards target% suppose there’s an explosion game coming up.

The box estimate may not show this, but Smith saw a significant increase in opportunities and a higher target share than AJ Brown because the Dallas Goedert went down. Brown is sick took this into account during the game on Sunday evening, but Jalen Hurts may get sick and run less after gaining 33 transfers in the last two weeks. On Sunday, he will also face the Titans’ defense with a pass funnel that ranks first against a pass and 16th against a pass in the DVOA, while also allowing for the second most fantastic scoring wide receivers this season.

Seattle Seahawks @ Los Angeles Rams

Start: Seahawks D/ST

Sit: all sheep

Seattle was beaten on the ground last week, but Los Angeles will likely struggle to pass the ball to subs and third hitters in nearly every offensive position. The Rams just gained 3.6 yards per game against Kansas City with this lineup and are second in total points this week (16.8 points). Kenneth Walker should benefit from both the game scenario and the Aaron Donald missed the Sunday game.

Miami Dolphins @ San Francisco 49ers

Seated: Jeff Wilson Jr.

Start: Jimmy Garoppolo

Wilson gets an extremely tough matchup against the 49ers defense, allowing the NFL to score points per game (15.7), YPC (3.3), and yards per game (4.7). They didn’t lose a point after a break from the 7th week. San Francisco lost the fewest fantasy points to runners, with none reaching 60 rushing yards against them this year (while missing Arik Armstead as well as Javon Kinlow!).

Contenders also have the lowest NFL run record in San Francisco this season, with Miami’s defense being shattered due to…
