Giants planning for every contingency at quarterback

The Giants were able to complete a victory over the Bears on Sunday despite not having a healthy quarterback, but beating the Packers in London this week seems like a bigger challenge given the current state of affairs.

This was stated by head coach Brian Daboll. Daniel JonesOn Monday, the ankle “felt a little better,” but Tyrod Taylor remains on concussion protocol, and no one has been carried out this weekend yet. Davis Webb will likely be transferred from the practice squad and the team will work with other quarterbacks to make sure they have enough healthy bodies to play.

The signing of another quarterback joins starting Webb as the Giants will have to consider the circumstances.

“I think you’re trying to plan every contingency plan you may or may not have during the week,” Daboll said. “This will definitely be one of them. Again, I don’t want to guess right now, on Monday, where all the other guys will be. Davis has been on our offense for quite some time. He knows all the ins and outs of it so if he has to play we will do our best and I know what he will do to be ready to play. As far as where we are at the moment, I don’t think we are at this stage to make a decision. We’ll let it play out.”

The Giants also suffer from a wide receiver. Daball called Kenny Golladay is unlikely to play this week, and the team played without Kadarius Tony as well as Van’Dale Robinsonso this weekend we can offer even bigger portion Saquon Barkley to attack the giants.
