Williams, 25, who originally signed with the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted rookie from the Albany in 2020 before joining the Giants, was moved to the safe side this offseason. However, he ended up in IR earlier this month due to a hamstring injury.

After the injury is settled, Williams cannot re-sign with the Giants until the settlement expires (regardless of how many weeks they have agreed to) plus three additional weeks.

However, Williams may sign with other teams before passing the physical.

In eight career games with the Giants, Williams recorded 19 tackles (15 solo) and one pass defensed. He received a Pro Football Focus score of 71.1 last season.
