The PGA 2023 Tour continues with the Genesis Invitational starting Thursday. The event will take place at the Riviera Country Club on a par-71 course in Pacific Palisades, California. Because the Genesis Invitational is a prestigious event, the prize pool is $20 million. This is the second consecutive golf tournament on the PGA Tour after last week’s WM Phoenix Open.
Due to the special status of the Genesis Invitational, it will feature several top golfers including Rory McIlroy, Xander Schauffele, John Rahm and Scotty Sheffler. Tiger Woods is also set to compete, making it the first competitive round of golf since The Open in July 2022. The 15-time champion suffered serious leg injuries in a car accident in 2021. Woods has appeared in only three major tournaments. Last season, his best finish was 47th at the Masters. The Genesis Invitational is hosted by Woods for his TGR foundation.
