“When I was only 16, I said that one day I would fight the Shogun. But it was just a joke. The way it worked, the way the energies work, is that you attract what you desire. … Yes, it was his last fight, and I’m not sure that anyone will be happy about his defeat, but the fact is that I am grateful to the “Shogun” for taking the fight, because it is legends like him, give us young guys. away. They show us the way. They bring us in as a new generation.”

“I go to the UFC (Performance Institute) in Las Vegas and they will decide which division is best for me. I must of course be much heavier (than I am at light heavyweight). I need to be at least (240 pounds) to do anything (heavyweight). I’m only 26 and everyone knows that heavyweights and light heavyweights take a lot longer to develop their strength and power. Both divisions are good for me, but I’m a bit small for (heavyweight).”

Potieria about what he wants next

“We will continue to climb. We will continue to fight whoever the UFC gives me. I don’t know, you want to give me Jake Paul? I will fight Jake Paul. But this is not the organization where you (choose opponent). Next will be whatever the UFC tells me and I’ll be ready for it.”
