Indianapolis Raceway Park Truck results: Grant Enfinger wins

Grant Enfingerwho qualified for the Camping World Truck Series playoffs ninth out of 10 drivers, won in overtime at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park on Friday to advance to the second round of the playoffs.

Enfinger went on a 38-race winless streak. He has seven victories in his career.

Ben Rhodes took second place Zane Smith took third place Stuart Friesen was fourth and Corey Heim completed the top five.

Matt Crafton finished ninth. Christian Eckes took 16th place. Both are seven points away from the final transfer spot with two races left in the first round of the play-offs.

Friday’s race was the first Truck Series race at Indianapolis Raceway Park since 2011.

Stage 1 winner: John Hunter Nemechek

Stage 2 winner: You Maeski

Who had a good race: Twenty-year-old Lane Riggs finished seventh in his Truck Series debut.

Who had a bad race: Carson Hosevar finished 21st, last out of 10 playoff drivers. … Taylor Gray finished 22nd. He was leading, closing in on the white flag, when John Hunter Nemecek’s contact spun him around, sending the race into overtime.

Next: The second race in the first round of the playoffs will take place on August 13 in Richmond (20:00 ET on FS1).
