The NFL has learned to create something out of nothing, especially in the offseason. When, in terms of football, nothing really happens, but it feels like everything is happening.

Today marks the second annual Saturday of Together Again, the league’s latest attempt at creating a grand event that draws eyeballs and wallets at the same time.

We don’t complain about the concept. The name is a bit cumbersome. And it seems more forced than organic.

However, football has indeed returned. All camps are open. Slow time faded into the rearview mirror. We will have a lot of content; since Monday morning we have posted almost 340 articles. They will be only as the camp continues and the preseason begins.

Pre-season starts, by the way, in five days. Hall of Fame in Canton. Raiders vs Jaguars. Two days later, the new class enters the Hall of Fame. Then there are three weeks of preseason, insane roster cuts, and 40 days later we’re leaving with the Bills for the Rams and the rest of the 18 weeks of the regular season.

At the moment it’s Together Again Saturday. Get used to it. Because nobody’s going anywhere before the Super Bowl in Phoenix.

Except 30 teams that won’t get there.
