Los Angeles also made a splash with the purchase of the Edge Rusher. Khalil Mak from Bears.

As the saying goes, rush and cover go hand in hand, so Jackson and Mac should be doing each other good.

On Friday, Jackson told reporters he was looking forward to playing a pass rush that included both Mack and Joey Boza.

“I never played with such an onslaught,” Jackson said via ESPN’s Lindsey Thiry. “I think I can make more turnovers if these two guys play quarterback.”

Jackson showed a clear eye for football in his first four seasons in New England. He has led the league with 25 steals since joining the league in 2018. He has recorded nine in 2020 and eight in 2021 with a league-leading 23 passes defended.

The Chargers finished 23rd overall last season, 29th in scoring, and 32nd on defense with a third loss. With the likes of Jackson and Mack now on the team, those ratings should improve significantly in 2022.
