When the Jacksonville Jaguars hit the Hall of Fame field Thursday night, it didn’t take long for Travon Walker to get his first sack. In fact, the Georgia rookie got his first sack in just his second series, knocking down Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Jarrett Stidham on the Jags’ 25-yard line for a three-yard loss.
See how the game unfolded below.
Walker entered the field with his hair flaming and charged at Stidham on the first offensive possession of the game. He had a good run when he attacked Brandon Parker, who he was also heads-up with during the game in which he sacked Stidham. Unfortunately, Walker was marked in the process as he accidentally made contact with Stidham’s Helmet.
While the score is currently 13-0 with the Raiders winning, it’s interesting to see Walker throwing in the pass effectively. He’s played in camp before, and seeing how that translates to the field, the Jaguars staff should be even more optimistic about the decision to take him first overall.
